Who We Are
August 29, 2005, Hurricane Katrina hit a lot of parishes in Louisiana, including St. Bernard Parish ( nearby New Orleans Parish), where me and my family used to live. We evacuated and went to Vicksburg, MS, Mansfield, LA, Baton Rouge, LA and Houston,TX. After Hurricane Katrina, we lost everything. At first, we didn't know how and where to start all over again. In God's help, we found a way to start a new life and start a new business here in Baton Rouge, LA. After few months in Houston, we found a place and moved to Baton Rouge, LA. Me and my husband thought about opening a Filipino store here in Baton Rouge since they don't have any.
March 18, 2007 when Pinay Gigi Filipino Store opened. Not knowing the population of the Filipino community here, whether it's gonna be a good or bad decision, we took a chance to open a Filipino store.
The Pinay Gigi Filipino Store is now established and succesfully growing little by little. Thanks for all the Filipino in Baton Rouge and the nearby cities like Baker, Zachary, Denham Spring, Walker, Hammond, Prairiville, Gonzales, New Orleans, Houma, Lafayette etc...
Pinay Gigi Filipino Store provides products that most Filipino wants and needs like when they were back home. From dry goods to frozen items. We provides services like Balikbayan Box and Money Remittance.
" HOME AWAY FROM HOME " That's what PINAY GIGI FILIPINO STORE for.
MABUHAY ANG FILIPINO !!!!!
